By becoming a member of the Johannesburg Marimba Club, you agree to all policy wording and documents, as well as our Terms & Conditions .
Termly fee: R1,800 per member
Sign-up fee: R250 (includes one club shirt)
Sibling discounts: 10% for 1st sibling, 20% for 2nd sibling
Replacement or additional club shirts available at a seperate cost
Fees are invoiced via the official club payment system and must be settled in full before the first lesson of each term.
In exceptional circumstances, members may request alternative payment arrangements in advance.
Pro-rata fees: Members joining mid-term may have fees adjusted proportionally, at the club’s discretion.
The club may review fees and policies annually or as required; members will be informed of any changes.
Sessions occur once a week for 1 hour, 10 lessons per term.
Trial lesson: One trial session is offered to interested persons seeking to join the club. After this, only paid members may attend.
Missed sessions by members cannot be refunded.
If the club is unable to hold a scheduled session, we will endeavour to make it up in agreement with members.
In cases where the club is unable to make up a session, fees will be credited for the next term or refunded if requested.
Members must respect the marimbas and all club equipment.
Safe and respectful behaviour is required at all times.
Members must follow the instructions of the coach during all sessions.
Any unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in suspension from sessions until resolved.
Photos or videos may be taken during sessions and performances.
Media will only be used for club promotion (website, social media, posters).
Members or guardians may notify the club if they do not consent to media usage.
The Johannesburg Marimba Club collects and processes personal information only for the purpose of administering membership, communicating about sessions, and providing club updates.
By registering as a member or expressing interest, you consent to the processing of your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The club will not share personal information with third parties except as required by law or necessary for administration (e.g., payment processing).
Membership is open to children aged 10–18 and adults.
By registering, members acknowledge they have read and understood the Policies and Terms & Conditions.
Membership can be terminated by the club for non-payment, breach of conduct, or unsafe behaviour.
